Life Coaching

Life coaching is beneficial for people who believe that change is possible, and that a more meaningful and fulfilling life is achievable

  • Are you at a crossroads in your life?

  • Have you recently experienced something that has left you wondering if you’re on the right path?

  • Do you think you might be experiencing a midlife crisis?

  • Are you feeling lost?

  • Perhaps you’re wondering if you should be doing something else with your life?

What is life coaching:

Working out our purpose in life can feel overwhelming, and leading a fulfilling life can feel out of reach. Life coaching is for people who want to define their purpose and make a plan to achieve it.

Life coaching is for people who want to take more control over their life and their future. Some clients simply require time and space to identify and address specific issues, whereas others want to gain a deeper understanding about why they feel or behave in certain ways.

Who is life coaching for:

  • People who feel stuck

  • People who want to make a change but don’t know where to start

  • People who are struggling to prioritise the things that matter most

  • People who doubt themselves and lack confidence

  • Anyone who has a desire to take more control over their life and their future

How does life coaching work:

Life coaching is a personal experience that is shaped by the wants, needs and aspirations of the individual. Although I will make recommendations — the duration, regularity and number of sessions is at the client’s discretion.

Many people choose to have regular coaching sessions in Victoria Park, east London or full day sessions in the Surrey Hills or on the south coast of England. Talking while walking encourages the flow of conversation, and clients note feelings of calm, focus and creativity when they do this work in a neutral natural setting.

Outcomes of life coaching:

  • A clear sense of purpose and direction

  • Ability to recognise what matters most in life

  • Courage to do something differently, to change

  • New skills, improved mindset and attitude

  • Trust and confidence to make decisions

I was struggling with a decision about whether I should continue my work as an artist, pursue further study or go back to my previous life work as an industrial psychologist. Talking to Karen helped to free up creativity — I’m back painting — and it brought attention to other things that were getting in the way of everyday life, that I had been putting off or stalling. The coaching was much broader than the issue I went in with.”
